About Verity search options

If translated documentation is installed on your system, you can specify to search only the documentation in a particular language or languages.

NOTE: Searching is currently supported in English, French, German, and Spanish. Searching is not supported for Asian languages.

To do this, click on the Options button on the Verity Search Engine page, then select the languages to search:

NOTE: If translated documentation is not installed, the only language option is English. In this case, do not uncheck English. If you uncheck English, Verity will not search any of the documentation.

The Verity search engine uses only English-language rules to find ``stemmed'' (plural and other inflected) forms of words. This may result in spurious results in languages other than English. If this is a problem, enclose all search strings inside double quote (") characters.
