Getting help

Using accelerators and mnemonics

SCOhelp, like all graphical applications, provides keystrokes that provide quick access to menus and menu options.

When a menu is open, you can select an item from it without using the mouse by typing the underlined letter (``mnemonic'') in the item's name.

Some frequently used menu items can be selected from the keyboard without opening the menu. These items are identified by a combination of keys (``accelerators'') to the right of the menu item. You can also use the following keys to page through a topic while using SCOhelp:

<Space>
move down through the current topic

<Bksp>
