Getting help

SCOhelp not indexed

The SCOhelp search capability is not enabled by default at installation. If you try to search, you see an error in the left frame. This situation also might occur if you install additional documentation and subsequently there are more than 15 items in the queue to be indexed. In both situations, config_search(1M) defers the indexing process and displays a message to this effect to standard error.

To index the documentation, run the following command as root:

/usr/man/bin/config_search -f

NOTE: The system must have at least 32KB of RAM available to run config_search(1M) with the -f option. Running the command with less RAM might result in a core dump.
