28: Given an X distribution hierarchy, the following basic steps need
29: to be performed:

31: 1) decide where you want to install fonts (and firmware if you are using
32: VS100 displays).
33: 2) configure the site file(s) for the displays you use for this information.
34: 3) build all software.
35: 4) install the software into the directories.
36: 5) add a device driver or configure the device driver into your kernel.
37: 6) reboot your machine.
38: 7) rename pseudo-teletypes for your login window.
39: 8) test that everything is working.
40: 9) configure your /etc/ttys file for the display.
