     ttttrrrriiiimmmm [_n] [-ffff]

DDDDEEEESSSSCCCCRRRRIIIIPPPPTTTTIIIIOOOONNNN
     _T_r_i_m copies lines from standard input to standard output,
     truncating the lines at _n characters and removing any trail-
     ing blanks. The default value for _n is 80.

     The ----ffff option causes all lines to be _n characters long; oth-
     erwise shorter lines are left as is.
