1.1 ! root 1: Caveat Ludor (or something like that). ! 2: ! 3: The sample DDL dungeon in this directory cannot even remotely ! 4: be considered a complete scenario. At every turn, there are ! 5: pointless areas of terrain, objects with no use, and verbs that ! 6: don't work. The scenario is intended primarily to demonstrate ! 7: (originally to TEST) some of the things that can be done in DDL, ! 8: and some of the features of the system, like fuses and DWIMming. ! 9: This is not to discourage play; there are one or two very ! 10: nice stunts in the scenario. Some ideas for extending the ! 11: scenario are in sample.ideas. The prospective DDL programmer ! 12: is encouraged to examine the DDL sources for this scenario, ! 13: and initially experiment with adding stunts and scenery to ! 14: its many dead-ends, rather than attempting to create an entire ! 15: original world from scratch. DDL's purpose is to allow ! 16: people's ingenious ideas to be conveniently realized. ! 17: New scenarios, or additions to this sample, should be sent ! 18: electronically to ucbvax!trwrb!trwspp!urban (as of Jan 1986)
