                      5: there are some other programs which may be available,
                      6: depending on whether your system administrator has installed them.

                      9: When \pgm{fred} and \pgm{dish} display the entry for someone,
                     10: they check to see if there is a photograph associated with the user.
                     11: This is stored in facsimile format in the \verb"photo" attribute for the entry.

                     13: then a file called \file{/usr/etc/dsaptailor} is consulted for directives
                     14: indicating how the picture should be displayed

                     29: then you might want to run the \pgm{xwho} program to see who is logged in on

                     34: If you use the \MH/ system to read your mail,
                     35: then you might want to run the \pgm{xface} program in the background.
                     36: Whenever \MH/ display a message for you,
                     37: it will ask \pgm{xface} to display the picture of the person who sent the

                     41: If you use the \MH/ system to send your mail,
                     42: then you can use the White Pages automatically to lookup the electronic mail
                     43: addresses of the people you are sending messages to.

                     45: Rather than specifying an address,
                     46: you can specify a name by bracketing a White Pages query between
                     47: ``\verb"<<"'' and ``\verb">>"'' using the \verb"whois" syntax of the \pgm{fred}
                     48: command, e.g.,

                     52: At the \whatnow/ prompt, you can say \verb"whom" to have the names expanded

                     57: \pgm{fred} will be asked to perform a White Pages resolution.
                     58: All matches are printed and the you are asked to select one.

                     60: you remains with \pgm{fred},
                     61: to make more queries,
                     62: until eventually one is selected
                     63: (or you  exit \pgm{fred} to abort the expansion process).

                     65: Note that expansion can occur only if \verb"whom" or \verb"send" is invoked
                     66: interactively. 
                     67: If the \verb"push" option is used instead,
                     68: then the expansion will fail because \pgm{fred} will be unable to ask
                     69: you to select/confirm the right entry to use for the substitution.
