                     23: \fBhostid\fP [hexnum or internet address]
                     24: .SH DESCRIPTION
                     25: \fIHostid\fP prints the identifier of the current host in hexadecimal.
                     26: This numeric value is expected to be unique across all hosts and is
                     27: commonly set to the host's Internet address.  The super-user can set
                     28: the hostid by giving a hexadecimal argument or the hostname; this is
                     29: usually done in the startup script \fI/etc/netstart\fP.
