                     21: Starting with a period forces a name-only search;
                     22: starting with exclamation point forces handle-only.
                     23: Examples:

                     25:        Smith                   [looks for name or handle SMITH ]
                     26:        !SRI-NIC                        [looks for handle SRI-NIC only  ]
                     27:        .Smith, John            [looks for name JOHN SMITH only ]

                     29: Adding ``..." to the argument will match anything from that point,
                     30: e.g. ``ZU..." will match ZUL, ZUM, etc.

                     32: To have the ENTIRE membership list of a group or organization,
                     33: if you are asking about a group or org, shown with the record, use
                     34: an asterisk character `*' directly preceding the given argument.
