The Info panel provides the user with basic information about the application.  Although each application can decide what type of information to provide, it's recommended that it minimally include:\

The Info Panel is not the place to offer help help for using the application or give an extensive amount of other information about it (e.g., its history or purpose).  If you have other information that you want to give users about your application, you can add a command to the Info Menu which brings up another panel with this information.  See the help for �Info Menu.�\

The information panel should not be implemented as an attention panel, that is, it should not be modal, you can dismiss it with its close box.
