                     10: The new bootblocks do not work with the 1742 in extended mode:
                     11: They DO however love it in standard mode.

                     13: The driver  automatically switches the board to extended mode when
                     14: it finds it
                     15: so leave your 1742 board in standard mode and just boot with the new bootblocks.

                     17: When unix starts the board will magically be in extended mode 
                     18: and when it is rebooted the bios will take it back to standard mode again.

                     20: Eventually I will fix the bootblocks, but this works just as well.
