.TH AUDITON 1 01/03/84 .SH NAME auditon\- enable the audit trail facility. .SH SYNOPSIS .B auditon [ -q ] [ file ] .SH DESCRIPTION .I Auditon\^ enables the audit trail facility and logs all activity to .I file.\^ If .I file\^ is not specified all audit trail data is logged to /usr/adm/audit. .I Auditon\^ will also allow the superuser to change the logfile. If the .I auditon\^ command is executed while the audit trail facility is enabled the the file used for logging is changed. .PP The .B -q option causes auditon to print the current audit trail log file. .SH SEE ALSO audit(1), audit(2), audfmt(1), auditoff(1), audon(2), ckaudit(2).
