1.1       root        1: 
                      2:  This tape contains the object code files and manual pages of
                      3: Power6 FORTRAN. To install it, perform the following steps:
                      4: 
                      5: 1. Log in as 'root'.
                      6: 2. Make an empty directory and cd into it.
                      7: 3. Read the tape, by executing 'tar xv' (the file names are printed
                      8:   as they are read off the tape).
                      9: 4. Install the file in their propper places by typing: 'installall'.
                     10:  'installall' is a shell file that copies the object code files into
                     11:  /usr/bin, /lib and /usr/lib, and the manual pages into /usr/man/man1
                     12:  and /usr/man/man3.
                     13: 
                     14:  After installation, run the acceptance tests as follows:
                     15: 
                     16: 1. cd testf77
                     17: 2. runtest  (this is a shell file that compiles and runs all the
                     18:   acceptance tests; it takes about 15 minutes)
                     19: 3. cd output
                     20: 4. The 'output' directory should contain to files:
                     21:  tests.exp  - the expected output of the tests
                     22:  tests.res  - the actual output of the tests as run by 'runtest'
                     23: 5. Type 'diff tests.exp tests.res' to check whether the actual results
                     24:   differ from the expected; if installation is correct, no difference
                     25:   should be detected.
