                     12: The command ffddiisskk  supports flexible hard-disk partitioning among
                     13: various  operating  systems  (e.g.  MS-DOS, CP/M,  COHERENT,  and
                     14: XENIX).  This capability  means that up to four operating systems
                     15: can  be  supported  on  one  hard  disk.   ffddiisskk  recognizes  the
                     16: following flags:

                     18: -rr Read-only access to partitioning information.

                     20: -bb Use  the first  446  bytes of  _m_b_o_o_t  as master  boot code  to
                     21:    replace that in _x_d_e_v.

                     23: -cc Allow  the specification  of  disk geometry  (i.e., number  of
                     24:    cylinders,  heads,  sectors)  for  disk  drives that  are  not
                     25:    supported by the system BIOS.

                     27: ffddiisskk  accesses the  first  block from  the  special device  _x_d_e_v
                     28: (e.g., /dev/at0x)  for the partitioning  information.  ffddiisskk then
                     29: queries the user for  changes.  These changes are written to _x_d_e_v
                     30: only if  the user requests the changes to  be saved.  If omitted,
                     31: _x_d_e_v defaults to  /ddeevv/aatt00xx and /ddeevv/aatt11xx. SCSI disk device users
                     32: will  need  to specify  _x_d_e_v  as  /ddeevv/ssdd_nxx where  _n  is a  digit
                     33: corresponding  to  the   SCSI  ID  for  the  disk  device  (e.g.,
                     34: /ddeevv/ssdd00xx).

                     53: Please  note that  some  versions of  ffddiisskk  for other  operating
                     54: systems  can rearrange  the  order of  entries  in the  partition
                     55: table.  If this happens, you may lose the ability to run COHERENT
                     56: until the  table is  restored to its  previous order.  A  sign of
                     57: this problem is getting the  prompt AATT bboooott? when trying to start
                     58: COHERENT after  running any ffddiisskk program, and  not being able to
                     59: get past it.

                     73: Computer  systems  that   use  older  BIOS  releases  may  report
                     74: incorrect disk  parameters.  Users of such  systems should change
                     75: the CMOS  setup values  if possible, but  the BIOS on  some older
                     76: systems will  not allow you to specify  arbitrary values for disk
                     77: parameters.  Users with such  systems can use the ffddiisskk -cc option
                     78: instead.

                     80: If you  plan to install and  run COHERENT and MS-DOS  on the same
                     81: hard disk, note the following:

                     83: ->   If you wish to install  COHERENT and MS-DOS on the same hard
                     84:      drive, you _m_u_s_t run the MS-DOS ffddiisskk first!
                     85: 
                     86: ->   If  you plan  on running  both  operating systems,  you _m_u_s_t
                     87:      install MS-DOS  first and leave  some free cylinders  on the
                     88:      disk for COHERENT as well as a free partition.  You can have
                     89:      both primary  as well as  extended MS-DOS partitions  on the
                     90:      same  drive as  COHERENT,  but COHERENT  cannot  use a  sub-
                     91:      partition of  the MS-DOS extended  partition.  COHERENT must
                     92:      have one of the four _r_e_a_l partitions.
