        !            12: The file  LL-ddeevviicceess describes  the communication lines  from your
        !            13: COHERENT system  to other sites.  It indicates  whether a line is
        !            14: directly  wired or  under modem  control, and  it also  gives the
        !            15: protocol needed  to manipulate it.  The  command uuuucciiccoo reads the
        !            16: contents of LL-ddeevviicceess before it attempts to transfer a file to or
        !            17: from a remote site.

        !            19: Each  entry in  LL-ddeevviicceess  has five  fields, each  field being  a
        !            20: string  demarcated by  one or  more white-space  characters.  The

        !            24:      The first  field defines  the type of  line.  A line  can be
        !            25:      either of two types: DDIIRR (for a directly wired line), or AACCUU

        !            39:      directly  connected devices  (type DDIIRR),  the device  is the
