                     15: To conserve  space inside i-nodes  in COHERENT file  systems, the
                     16: system  stores block  addresses  in three  bytes.  Programs  that
                     17: reference or  maintain file systems  use the functions  l3tol and
                     18: ltol3 routines  to convert between  the three-byte representation
                     19: and long numbers.
