                     12: Normally, a  user can communicate  with other users  by using the
                     13: commands msg and write.

                     15: In  certain situations,  it is useful  to suppress  messages from
                     16: other users.  For example,  if you are redirecting a shell script
                     17: to a file and someone sends you a message, that message will land
                     18: in  your file.   Therefore, COHERENT  supplies the  command mesg,
                     19: which,  lets you  permit or suppress  messages from  other users.
                     20: The argument y allows messages, whereas argument n disallows mes-
                     21: sages.  With no argument,  mesg tells you whether you can receive
                     22: messages (as yes or no) without changing the message state.
