                     16: When you edit a file with elvis, only about five kilobytes of the
                     17: file are  stored in RAM;  the rest is  stored in a  file in /tmp.
                     18: vviirreecc extracts the ``undo'' version from the file stored in /tmp.
                     19: This is  most useful  when the system  (or elvis) crashes  in the
                     20: middle of  a long editing session, since  the ``undo'' version of
                     21: the file contains everything except your last change.

                     23: There are two ways to use virec.  The first, and most common, way
                     24: to  invoke virec  is to  give it  the name of  the file  you were
                     25: editing; it finds the matching file in /tmp and writes the newest
                     26: available version of the file over the existing version.  It then
                     27: deletes the /tmp file.

                     29: The second way  is to use the `<' to  let virec read a particular
                     30: /tmp file  via stdin.  Use this method when  you either have for-
                     31: gotten which file you were  editing and want to see its contents,
                     32: or when you wish to recover a file without losing either the /tmp
                     33: file or the current version of the text file.

                     36: tory rather than in /tmp.
