sleep Command sleep
Stop executing for a specified time
sslleeeepp _s_e_c_o_n_d_s
The command sleep suspends execution for a specified number of
seconds. This routine is especially useful with other commands
to the shell sh. For example, typing
(sleep 3600; echo coffee break time) &
will execute the echo command in one hour (3,600 seconds) to in-
dicate an important appointment.
