bbrreelleeaassee() -- Block-Device Routine #iinncclluuddee <ssyyss/bbuuff.hh> vvooiidd bbrreelleeaassee(_b_p) BBUUFF *_b_p; bbrreelleeaassee() unlocks and releases the buffer pointed to by _b_p. A device driver should always call bbrreelleeaassee() when it no longer needs a buffer obtained via a bbrreeaadd(). If a driver needs to read and modify a block, the recommended sequence is for it to call bbrreeaadd(), modify the block, set the BFMOD bit in the field bb_ffllaagg field, then call bbrreelleeaassee(). _S_e_e _A_l_s_o bblloocckk-ddeevviiccee rroouuttiinneess
