ttttiiooccttll()  handles common  typewriter  I/O control  (ioctl) operations,  as
defined in header file ssggttttyy.hh. It may call

    (*_t_p->tt_ppaarraamm)(_t_p)

to initialize the hardware.  If an error occurs, it sets field uu.uu_eerrrroorr to
an appropriate value.  It returns nothing.
