        !             3: \fBMLP\fP stands for \fBM\fPultiple \fBL\fPine \fBP\fPrinter. It names a group
        !             4: of programs that help users and applications access the computer's printers
        !             5: in an orderly and efficient way.

        !             7: Information to be printed is submitted to the \fBlp\fP program which makes a 
        !             8: copy in a place called the "spool queue" and then notifies the scheduler.  The
        !             9: scheduler (\fBlpsched\fP) periodically scans the queue looking for requests
        !            10: that are waiting to print.  When it finds one, it assigns a printer to do the
        !            11: job.  If the desired printer is busy, then the request will be reconsidered when
        !            12: the device becomes available.  Requests are normally held in the queue for a
        !            13: certain period of time so that they may be reprinted if the user so wishes.
        !            14: Every few minutes, the scheduler purges requests that have grown too old.  The
        !            15: scheduler also maintains a log of its activities and reports anything unusual
        !            16: to either the system administrator or the appropriate user through the email
        !            17: facility.

        !            19: \fBMLP\fP replaces the spooler distributed with COHERENT 4.0.  Using the
        !            20: existing spooler in conjunction with \fBMLP\fP is not recommended since they
