.TH PAGE 1 .SH NAME page \- view FAX, bitmap, and PostScript files .SH SYNOPSIS .B page .I file ... .SH DESCRIPTION .I Page reads each .IR file , either a CCITT Group 3 encoded file (such as a FAX page), Plan 9 bitmap file (see .IR bitmap (6)), or .I PostScript in sequence and displays it in its window. Pressing and holding button 1 permits panning about the page. Typing a .B q or control-D exits the program. Typing any other character or clicking button 2 advances to the next .IR file . Button 3 has a menu of the .I files to be selected for viewing in any order. .PP When possible, .I page overlaps the read of the next page with the display of the current one. .PP .I Page calls .IR gs (1) to convert PostScript .I files to Group 3 encoded files. All are converted before any pages are displayed.
