Microsoft OS/2 SDK PM 08-08-1988
Comments about PMCOMM To get PM Comm's attention, sometimes you must hit <CR> at the keyboard (especially if you don't want to run on port COM1). Currently there is no way to save options set in the program (shouldn't be *that* difficult as there >is< a pmcomm.ini file to be mangled) and it's been modified to have a new Icon, and so a bogus File menu does not pop up. It is claimed that "modem support has been commented out." This apparently means that upon closing the COM port, the modem is not disconnected. Word Wrap does not seem to work in Echo (half duplex) mode. This program does not work very well most of the time; a new version may be released via DIAL. The code is fairly well documented and this program creates a second thread of execution to do the communications I/O. The code has been "cleaned up" a little bit, getting rid of #ifdef definitions. As for the icon, it's supposed to be a telephone; believe as you will.
