.TH USTATS 1 SHARE
.SH NAME
ustats \- show bar graphs of share scheduler user usage rates
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B ustats
[-Kn] [-cn] [-g] [-sn] [-r] [-L] [-o[N|P|S|O]]
.SH DESCRIPTION
.I Ustats
prints bar graphs of user usage rates.
.P
Invoked without arguments,
.I ustats
will print the graphs and exit.
The flags affect operation as follows:-
.RS 2
.TP "\w'flagXX'u"
.ul
flag
.ul
meaning
.TP
.BI -K n
Set the
.I half-life
for decaying the displayed rate to
.B n
seconds [default 4].
.TP
.BI -c n
Continuous operation, where
.BR n ,
if present, limits the number of cycles.
.TP
.BI -g
Don't include scheduling groups.
.TP
.BI -s n
Delay time between updates becomes
.B n
seconds [default 4].
.TP
.BI -r
Don't include \fIroot\fP's usage.
.TP
.BI -L
The bar graphs are normalised between the minimum and maximum usages found.
Quite often, one particular user
(eg: \fIidle\fP)
will dominate the usage,
so this flag turns on the use of a logarithmic scale for normalisation.
.TP
.BI -o f
The normal ordering of users is in kernel \fIlnode\fP table order.
This allows a continuous display to show the least change as users
log in and log out.
There are alternate orders specifiable by the value of \fBf\fP:
.RS "\w'flagXXXX'u"
.PD 0
.TP 4
.B N
sort by user name
.TP
.B P
sort by user priority
.TP
.B S
sort by usage
.TP
.B O
default (\fIlnode\fP) ordering.
