1.1       root        1: 7/19/93 spe does not use the "general" script for two reasons:
                      2: 1. there is a modification in function "bibliography"
                      3: 2. some of the routines for rearranging authors' names have
                      4:    been corrected; they are wrong in "general".
                      5: Both differences should someday be buried.  (doug)
