\f4tosmtp\fP translates a
.SM UNIX
System mail message (read from standard
input), into an RFC822 mail message, which can then be delivered with \s-1SMTP\s+1.
\f4tosmtp\fP is normally invoked by \f4smtpqer\fP as part of the process of
queueing mail for delivery.

The options to \f4tosmtp\fP and their meanings are as follows:

Pass the specified \f2domain\fP directly to the \f4smtp\fP program.

Act as a filter.
The RFC822 message is sent to the standard output.
